Antonio Salazar – Escobar is a founding partner of the firm and has more than 20 years legal experience. His expertise lies in resolving complex disputes and high-level arbitrations, both in the domestic and international arena. He is a registered arbitrator at the Mexican Arbitration Centre (CAM, from its Spanish initials) and has represented recognised national and international organisations against the CAM, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the American Arbitration Association (AAA).

Mr. Salazar has represented domestic and international banks, investment funds, as well as air and maritime companies, in different types of litigations and bankruptcies. He has also acted as external/internal lawyer of financial institutions, has worked as legal director, member of several committees and as Secretary of the Board of Directors of the same organisations.

Before establishing Salazar Abogados, Mr. Salazar worked as chief of the litigation and arbitration area and as foreign associate for a recognised international law firm based in Texas.

In addition, Antonio Salazar Escobar is recognised as co-author of different legal articles: “Power of Attorney in Mexico: A Double- Edged Sword”; “Debt Collection in Mexico: A fear of Attachment”; “Depositions in Mexico for U.S. Litigation”, amongst others
